Research

Data Availability

The UDN Data Management Coordinating Center facilitates the dissemination of de-identified genomic and phenotypic data to NIH-designated repositories like dbGaP and ClinVar, enabling access for scientific research and exploration.

Funding Opportunities

The UDN has funded multiple rounds of gene function studies to elucidate the biologic mechanisms of genetic variants identified in the UDN.

Manual of Operations

The UDN Manual of Operations is a handbook that details the network’s research conduct and protocols in order to facilitate consistent adherence across all institutions participating in the study.

Model Organisms Screening Center

The Model Organisms Screening Center (MOSC) for the Undiagnosed Diseases Network (UDN) is composed of two Centers that use fruit fly, worm, and zebrafish genetics and biology to tackle rare and undiagnosed diseases. By combining state-of-the-art genetic and genomic technologies, the MOSCs investigate whether a rare variant identified in the genomes of UDN participants may contribute to disease pathogenesis.

Publications

The groundbreaking research conducted by the UDN has resulted in more than 300 peer reviewed publications. Dive into the latest findings, breakthroughs, and insights garnered from the collaborative efforts of clinicians, researchers, and patients involved in the UDN.
