Overview

The UDN Coordinating Center is based in Boston, Massachusetts, at Harvard Medical School’s Department of Biomedical Informatics . The Principal Investigators leading the center are Drs. Isaac Kohane, Alexa McCray, and Rachel Ramoni. Dr. Ramoni is also the Executive Director.

The UDN Gateway, the network’s online portal for patient applications, was developed by the team of researchers and software developers at the coordinating center. In addition to processing applications, the Gateway serves as the knowledge store for everything that is learned about UDN patients and their conditions through week-long clinical evaluations and genetic testing. The information in the Gateway will be available to all of the researchers and clinicians in the UDN, so that patients are given every opportunity for a diagnosis.
